The present invention relates to a redox flow battery, and particularly, to a redox flow battery, in which anolyte and catholyte are supplied to a battery cell and which carries out charging/discharging by using an active material comprising vanadium and a cation exchange membrane, wherein the anolyte and the catholyte comprise a vanadium ion as an active ion, the concentration of the vanadium ion contained in the anolyte and the concentration of the vanadium ion contained in the catholyte are different from each other, and a storage tank in which the anolyte is stored and a storage tank in which the catholyte is stored are interconnected through a communication pipe, thereby controlling the movement of the active material and electrolyte in the battery and minimizing battery performance degradation. |
