<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake manifold that abolishes a tumble control valve by making air flow flowing into a main passage from a sub passage separate and deflect when a variable intake valve which is installed at a merging part of a plurality of intake passages including the main passage and the sub passage is opened, reduces the number of parts with the abolishment of the tumble control valve, and prevents itself from being large. <P>SOLUTION: The intake manifold 13 includes the variable intake valve 21 at the merging part 18 of a plurality of intake passages including the main passage 16d and the sub passage 17d. The intake manifold further changes an intake passage length by communicating or shutting off the plurality of intake passages by means of control of the variable intake valve 21.
