<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center pillar for a vehicle, capable of improving the yield strength of the center pillar when a load from an upper part of the vehicle is input. <P>SOLUTION: The center pillar includes: pillar bodies 21, 22, which are extended in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and which have flanges 21a, 22a, 21b, 22b at the front side and rear side in the horizontal direction of the vehicle, respectively; and a reinforcement member 23 for connecting the front side flanges 21a, 22a with the rear side flanges 21b, 22b.
