<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper and lower steel pipes joint structure for a steel pipe column which allows the firm joint of upper and lower steel pipe columns in a short time without welding and reducing the operation man-hour. <P>SOLUTION: A lower edge of an upper steel pipe column 1 and an upper end of a lower steel pipe column 2 are thick parts 1a and 2a whose pipe walls are thickened up in a thickening process by heating and compression. Male screw parts 1b and 2b are formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the thick parts 1a and 2a. A screw cylinder 3 is screwed over the whole male screw parts 1b and 2b of the upper and lower steel pipe columns 1 and 2. A reinforcement tube 4 fastened and fitted by the thickening process may be provided in an inner periphery of the thick parts 1a and 2a of each steel pipe column 1 and 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
