<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aspherical optical element with high processing accuracy while suppressing a manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In an aspherical optical element of the present invention, a replica aspherical optical element 5 is created by treating one side surface of a master optical element 1 having an aspherical-shaped one side surface by a release agent 3, bonding a replica substrate 2 to the master optical element 1 via a resin layer 4, and separating them. In the replica aspherical optical element 5, one side surface of the replica substrate 2 is a sphere and a curvature radius is optimized so that a root mean square of the difference in a surface shape with the aspherical shape of one side surface of the master optical element 1 is minimum. Excellent process tolerance can be maintained because the substrate 2 having little difference of surface shape with the master optical element 1 is used. In addition, one side surface of the substrate 2 is a sphere relatively easy to be manufactured so that the manufacturing cost can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
