The light (6) has a light module comprising a light source (22) for producing light distribution on a front part of a motor vehicle i.e. car, at distance from a measuring screen. The light module is assigned to an additional light source e.g. LED. Another additional light source (24) is assigned for lighting function with respect to geometric visibility of the light, and an outer portion of light distribution outside a point of intersection illuminates horizontally and vertically on the measuring screen. A light exit orifice is locked by a transparent cover plate along light exit direction. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle headlamp.
