<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism that achieves miniaturization and cost reduction of an apparatus, while being able to equalize pitches between a plurality of beams in sub-scanning direction on a photoreceptor surface. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus detects density of an image for adjusting developed on a surface of a photosensitive drum 10 by a density sensor 15. A CPU 17 detects by one scan of a polygon mirror 6, based on the density information output from the density sensor 15, a difference between a pitch A between beams formed in a sub-scanning direction of a surface of the photosensitive drum 10, with a pitch B between beams formed in a sub-scanning direction of a surface of the photosensitive drum 10 between scans over between surfaces of the polygon mirror 6, and changes the rotational speed of the photosensitive drum 10 by control of a drive control part 20 based on detected difference, so that pitch A between beams and pitch B between beams may become equal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
