ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTOR AND ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain detection sensitivity of a ultrasonic flaw detector which detects diffraction waves in a test object to perform flaw detection stable and strong.

SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flaw detector has: a transmission/reception array sensor which has both of a transmission vibrator sequence in which a plurality of vibration elements for transmission for transmitting ultrasonic waves are arranged, and a reception vibrator sequence in which a plurality of vibration elements for reception for receiving the ultrasonic waves are arranged, and in which the center of the transmission vibrator sequence and the reception vibrator sequence is installed on an opening of the defect surface of the test object; a controller which converges the respective ultrasonic waves transmitted from the respective vibration elements for transmission to a convergence position where a half of the sum of a ultrasonic transmission angle and a ultrasonic reception angle becomes within 30 degrees; a generation means for generating flaw detection information based on the ultrasonic waves come by being diffracted in the test object received by the vibration elements for reception; and a display means for displaying the flaw detection information generated by the generation means.
