<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide yo-hen tone pattern pottery which can be mass produced with a stable quality, and to provide transfer paper suitable for production thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Since flux materials, which constitute a lower paint layer 14 and an upper paint layer 16 respectively, have the compositions, many fine air-bubbles are produced by the reaction of copper sulfide within an underlayer produced from the lower paint layer 14. On the other hand, within an upper layer produced from the upper paint layer 16, although a mat-like surface is obtained by the reaction of iron oxide and chromium oxide, since at this moment many fine projections and recesses are formed on the surface of the underlayer correspondingly to the produced internal air-bubbles, the projections and recesses are also reflected on the surface of the upper layer, and the projections and recesses of the mat-like surface becomes clearer.
