<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system that enables a resident to easily set a portable terminal in use of the portable terminal in place of an intercom master unit. <P>SOLUTION: The intercom system includes: an intercom slave unit 1 that is installed outdoor to call a resident for a telephone call; an intercom master unit 2 that is installed indoor for a telephone call to the intercom slave unit; and call connection means that allows a telephone call between the intercom slave unit and the portable terminal based on a call from the intercom slave unit 1.
