<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive methods for manufacturing ceria-based composite oxides (Ce<SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>Ln<SB POS="POST">x</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2-y</SB>composite oxide and Ce<SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>(Ln<SB POS="POST">z</SB>A<SB POS="POST">1-z</SB>)<SB POS="POST">x</SB>O<SB POS="POST">2-y</SB>composite oxide) and a NiO(Ni)-ceria-based complex, in which there are no need for uses of a special step of removing unreacted substances and impurities and a special apparatus for each treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The methods for manufacturing ceria-based composite oxides or a complex of an amorphous NiO hydrate and a crystalline ceria-based composite oxide include a step of subjecting raw materials for the ceria-based composite oxides (for example, at least one of an oxide, a hydroxide and an oxyhydroxide of Ce (cerium), and at least one of an oxide, a hydroxide and an oxyhydroxide of a Ln site), or raw materials prepared by adding a predetermined amount of at least one of an oxide, a hydroxide and an oxyhydroxide of Ni (nickel) thereto, to a wet mixing and pulverizing treatment in an aqueous solvent, to thereby directly obtain single phases of the crystalline composite oxides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
