FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodworking industry. Proposed band mill consists of bed, band mill drive, drive and tensioning pulleys fitted on shafts to support saw blade, saw blade hydraulic tensioner, and saw assembly vertical adjustment drive. Saw assembly is equipped with wedging device with lifting mechanism. Said wedging device consists of metal wedge-like rack located level with saw blade and set of round rods arranged on straight line inclined with respect to sawing plane. Lifting mechanism is secured at saw assembly and made up of a lever with sector to adjust clearance between log and sawn face in vertical plane. ^ EFFECT: longer life, power savings, higher efficiency and quality. ^ 2 dwg |
