The apparatus has a control circuit (13) that detects measurement signals indicating magnetization degree of magnetizable core wound with pole winding (4) of phase conductors (1,2) provided in rotor. The phase winding currents of the conductors are determined and rotational position of the rotor affected by the magnetic field of the core is calculated based on the measurement signals.
