<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of correcting, making up for, or replacing a software code in a memory related to one of a plurality of small units of an automatic vending machine. <P>SOLUTION: Automatic vending machines (2, 4, 6) capable of communicating with a center station using one of a plurality of cellular carriers include a remote measurement device (22). The remote measurement device includes a cellular transmitter receiver, a digital signal processor type modem (44), and a memory (42) which stores software corresponding to protocols for the respective cellular carriers. A software code in a memory related to a small unit of an automatic vending machine is upgraded or corrected by transmitting fragments of the software code from the remote station to the remote measurement device using a cellular carrier, assembling fragments of the software code by the remote measurement device, and relaying the assembled software code to the specified small unit among the small units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
