A method for preventing an error of a washing machine is provided to control the washing machine stably without an extra circuit for noise by temporarily suspending a fatal error detection before the noise is generated. A method for preventing an error of a washing machine includes the steps of: determining a relay driving point of time according to an operation sequence of the washing machine by checking an operation state of the washing machine in real time(S200); temporarily suspending a fatal error detection of the washing machine by delaying a sensor value of a sensor inputted through an input port of a controller prior to driving relays at the relay driving point of time(S210); counting a temporary suspension time for the fatal error detection by initializing a temporary suspension timer for the fatal error detection(S220); driving relays according to a series of the operation sequence of the washing machine(S230); determining if the temporary suspension time for the fatal error detection exceeds a predetermined time(100msec)(S240); and restarting the fatal error detection in real time, if the temporary suspension time for the fatal error detection exceeds the predetermined time(100msec)(S250). |
