PURPOSE: A system and method for deleting duplicated data using NVRAM as a mapping table storage device are provided to utilize the NVRAM as the storage area of the mapping table, by storing unnecessary entries into a larger storage according to standards of the mapping value. CONSTITUTION: If new data is duplicated data of the original data, a mapping(110) adds the new data into the mapping table. A mapping value calculator(120) calculates the mapping value of stored information. A mapping table divider(130) divides the mapping table and the storage device on the basis of the mapping value. The mapping unit manages the mapping information of the original block and the reference block as the entry.
