PURPOSE: A glass plate packaging container, and a glass plate transporting method using thereof are provided to effectively store glass plates in a limited storage space, and to stably transport the glass plates. CONSTITUTION: A glass plate packaging container comprises the following: a rear plate(3) in a rectangular shape vertically installed on one front side of a supporter(1) with the constant angle; lower cut-out units(1L, 1R) cutting one at least one corner on the inside of the supporter; a cut-out space(12) having the constant cut-out volume from the upper side of the lower cut-out units to the rear plate; and a glass plate package including a lower plate covering the lower cut-out units on the bottom of the supporter. The front end of the lower cut-out units is located on the front side of the rear end of the rear plate. The glass plate packaging container additionally includes a maintaining member maintaining the bottom and the side surface of the glass plates.
