<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially improve reliability by effectively preventing the increase of a bad effect due to overheating of a connection part between a service plug and a socket connecting the service plug, with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device comprises a battery block 2 connecting a plurality of battery cells 1; an exterior case 3 for storing the battery block 2 or an electric component 10 connected to the battery block 2; a socket 4 provided on the exterior case 3 and connected to the battery block 2 in series; and a service plug 5 detachably connected to the socket 4. The service plug 5 is connected to the socket 4, and connected to a battery in series through the socket 4. The exterior case 3 partitions a heat-shielding isolated area 8 in which the socket 4 and the service plug 5 are disposed, by a heat-shielding plate 7.
