<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting die for metallic glass that can mold an article without causing damage to the article due to the effect of shrinking of metallic glass. <P>SOLUTION: The casting die in which a first mold base and a second mold base are arranged face to face to thereby form a cavity therebetween via a parting line surface, and a molten metallic glass is injected into the cavity and then solidified to produce a molded article, includes: a first molding portion and a second molding portion, and a third molding portion communicating the first molding portion and the second molding portion; and a first molding surface of the first molding portion and a second molding surface of the second molding portion composing a side wall of the third molding portion. The angle θ formed by the first molding surface and/or the second molding surface and the parting line surface is 0°≤θ≤45°. A fixing member is employed to prevent, in cooperation with an elastic member, the first mold base and the second mold base which are in close contact with each other from being separated from each other at the parting line surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
