PURPOSE: A power transmission control method and a power transmission device in a wireless power transmission device are provided to effectively control wireless power transmission by detecting foreign materials between the wireless power transmission device and a wireless power reception device. CONSTITUTION: A primary core(110) transmits a wireless power signal and a pulse signal to a wireless power reception device side. A sensor(126) senses foreign materials during wireless charging. A transmission controller(120) calculates the power loss of the wireless charging according to the sensing condition of the foreign materials disposed on the charging position of the wireless power transmission device. The transmission controller controls the primary core for stopping the power transmission in a power loss state over a reference value. The sensor is composed of an infrared sensor.
