The adapter (1) has a hollow body (6) defining a housing with a stop member i.e. annular shoulder, that limits insertion of a tube to define a fixing position. Two elastically deformable locking wings are moved between a release position in which the wings allow axial movement of the tube and a locking position in which the wings immobilize the tube in the fixing position by making the wings to abut against an annular flange. A locking ring (8) is moved between release and locking positions in which the wings are in release and locking positions, respectively.
