<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device capable of suppressing generation of a surge voltage without limiting performance of the switching power supply device, and its control method. <P>SOLUTION: A switching power supply device 1 comprises a first switch circuit 10, a smoothing circuit 20, and a control part 30. The first switch circuit 10 has an Nch type MOSFET 101, and corresponding to ON/OFF of the Nch type MOSFET 101, the smoothing circuit 20 smooths a current outputted from the first switch circuit 10. The control part 30 controls the ON/OFF of the Nch type MOSFET 101. The control part 30 determines a direction of a current flowing to an inductor 201 on the basis of the timing of the ON/OFF of the Nch type MOSFET 101. Then, when the direction of the current flowing to the inductor 201 is an output direction of the smoothing circuit 20 in the state that operation stop signals are inputted, the control part 30 stops the control of the ON/OFF of the Nch type MOSFET 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
