CURLY HAIR STRAIGHTENING COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR STRAIGHTENING CURLY HAIR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel curly hair straightening composition capable of greatly reducing treatment time and suppressing damage feeling of hair, and a novel method for straightening curly hair using the composition.

SOLUTION: The curly hair straightening composition includes: a keratin amino acid with mean molecular weight of 90-200; and cysteines in an amount of 0.5-2 mass% in terms of thioglycolic acid. The method for straightening curly hair using the curly hair straightening composition includes: an application process of applying the curly hair straightening composition to hair; a drying process of drying the hair after the application; and a straightening process of heating and clamping the hair between a pair of flat plates after the drying process to straighten the hair.
