<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable radio terminal which can suppress antenna performance deterioration when a housing is held by a hand. <P>SOLUTION: A platy first metal frame 8 is provided on a side surface of a housing 2, and a second metal frame 9 is provided at a position near a feeding portion 6 and keeping an interval portion 10 from the first metal frame 8. The first metal frame 8 is grounded near four corner portions 4a-4d of a circuit substrate 4, and the second metal frame 9 is not grounded. The interval portion 10 between the first metal frame 8 and the second metal frame 9 is disposed so as to expose on the side surface near a corner portion 2a of the housing 2. By adopting such a structure, antenna performance deterioration when the housing is held by a hand can be suppressed. In a free space, the second metal frame 9 does not influence on an antenna element 7, so that the performance of the antenna can be improved in both of the free space state and the handheld state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
