PURPOSE: A method for displaying a three-dimensional image and a display apparatus performing the same are provided to prevent color breakup by using a field-sequential driving method. CONSTITUTION: A virtual primary color determination unit produces a virtual primary color data for the left or right eye. A dimming level determination unit produces virtual primary color dimming levels for the left or right eye. The dimming level determination unit produces a compensation coefficient for the left or right eye. A data processing unit corrects data frames for the left or right eye. The data processing unit outputs a virtual primary color data frames for the left or right eye. A light source unit successively generates virtual primary color lights for the left or right eye. |
