PURPOSE: A device for diagnosing the malfunction of a cable for the controls of an aircraft and a method for the same are provided to accurately and conveniently diagnose the malfunction existence of a cable for the controls of an aircraft without disassembling an aircraft body. CONSTITUTION: A device for diagnosing the malfunction of a cable for the controls of an aircraft comprises a diagnosis circuit(110) and a cable resistance measurement unit(130). The diagnosis circuit is connected to the cable and comprises a power applying unit. The cable resistance measurement unit is mounted to the diagnosis circuit and measures the resistance of the cable when power form the power applying unit is applied to the cable resistance measurement unit, thereby detecting the malfunction existence of the cable.
