<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having an excellent display characteristic that can enhance an electron emission characteristic in a protection layer, reduce a sustained discharge voltage and perform low-voltage driving with high brightness with respect to even high-definition images. <P>SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a plasma display panel having a sealing and exhausting step for disposing a front plate having an electrode, a dielectric material and a protection layer formed thereon and a back plate so as to confront each other through a discharge space formed therebetween, sealing the front plate and the back plate by a sealing member and exhausting gas in the discharge space, the sealing and exhausting step contains a step for exhausting the gas in the discharge space during a sealing period of the front plate and the back plate or after the sealing, a step for introducing reductive organic gas into the discharge space and a step for exhausting the reductive organic gas. In the step for exhausting the gas in the discharge space, the inside of the discharge space is exhausted for 30 min or more from start of the exhaust. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
