The device (101) has a monitoring unit (103) for monitoring an operating parameter e.g. electrical current and electrical voltage, of an electric drive motor. A regulating unit (105) regulates the operating parameter for controlling temporal output torque increase. A control unit (107) activates the regulating unit depending on temporal derivation of the monitored operating parameter. The regulating unit is deactivated according to predetermined time. The regulating unit comprises a pulse width modulator for pulse width modulation of the monitored operating parameter. The drive motor is electronically commutated electromotor and brushless direct current motor.
