摘要 A working element of a root digger relates to agricultural machine-building. The working element of the root digger comprises a ploughshare and toothed rotors, mounted on the both sides near the front part of the ploughshare, with a forced drive of at least one rotor in the rotational movement, in which each tooth has the sharpened edge as a curve with a constant polar angle and the curvilinear working surface. According to the invention, the drive of toothed rotors is made in such a manner that the direction of a vector of angular velocity in the lower part of the rotors, which is accompanying to the direction of working movement of the digger, is provided, and the working surface of a tooth is made as the sharpened edge on the side of the ploughshare, in doing so the sharpening width in the front part of the tooth is larger than in rear part thereof. The sharpened edge of the tooth has the profile as the internal side of a logarithmic spiral, opened in the direction of the working movement of the digger. The design and geometry of the proposed working element of the digger provides crushing the soil around roots for the depth of occurrence thereof. in doing so lowering energy consumption for the process of digging and cleaning roots of soil, which allows using small-class energy units in harvesting table roots up to in length.
