MIXING/EXTRUDING APPARATUS, AND START-UP METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the amount of resin taken out from a mixer/extruder at a start-up of a mixing/extruding apparatus, to prevent deterioration in resin quality when shifting to a normal operation and problems in cutting operation, and to prevent an apparatus configuration from being enlarged or more complex.

SOLUTION: A mixing/extruding apparatus 1 includes: a mixer/extruder 2 provided with a diverter 12; an electric motor 3 for driving the mixer/extruder 2; and a power supply device 4 for supplying a drive power to the electric motor 3. The power supply device 4 includes a start-up power supply part 17 which supplies a drive power with which the electric motor 3 is rotated at low speed with a smaller output than an output generated upon the normal operation to the electric motor; an operation power supply part 18 which supplies a drive power with which the electric motor 3 is rotated at high speed with the output generated upon the normal operation to the electric motor; and a power supply switching device 19 which switches the drive power from the start-up power supply part 17 to be supplied to the electric motor 3 to the drive power from the operation power supply part 18.
