<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a passenger conveyor in which sizes of a motor and a reduction gear can be increased by reducing a dead space in a truss. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit includes: a motor 12 that generates a driving force of the passenger conveyor; the reduction gear 14 that increases the driving force outputted from the motor 12 and outputs it; a machine bed 18 on which the motor 12 and the reduction gear 14 are mounted; a receiving frame 30 that surrounds a sidewall 18a of the machine bed 18 and supports the bottom of the machine bed 18; a pedestal 23 attached to the inside of a main beam 16a of the truss 16 of the passenger conveyor which surrounds a sidewall of the receiving frame 30; damping materials 35, 38, 41, and 42 that are interposed between the machine bed 18 and the receiving frame 30; and position adjusting mechanisms 50a and 50b that adjust the position of the receiving frame 30 with respect to the pedestal 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
