<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce server's load or reduce communication traffic volume between a plurality of clients (electronic apparatuses) and a server in, for example, a client and server type system. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus according to an embodiment includes a first update reference unit for referring to a server for a first update of software used by the own apparatus. The electronic apparatus also includes a second update schedule reception unit for receiving a second update schedule of the software that is output from the server according to the reference of the first update of the software.
