<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a printing completion time by receiving print data from an external device even if operating in a power saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has at least a power saving mode. The image forming device includes a first memory means; an image forming means for carrying out an image forming process based on data using the first memory means; a second memory means for carrying out memory operation faster than the first memory means during power supply; and a memory control means for temporarily holding data received by the receiving means in the second memory means until the memory operation of the first memory means is started when the data are received during the power saving mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
