A microcomputer device capable of detecting error and an error detecting method thereof are provided to detect access to an address set as a variable without using any hardware equipment such as an ICE(In-Circuit Emulator) or a JTAG(Joint Test Action Group) by adding a logic unit including an error detecting function to a bus arbiter. A first storing part(110) stores a start address of a target sub routine to be accessed among a plurality of sub routines. A second storing part(120) has areas corresponding to the address set as the variable and stores a plurality of sub routines. A microcontroller(130) accesses the sub routine corresponding to the start address among the second storing part. An error detector(152) outputs an interrupt signal for informing the microcontroller of error occurrence when the microcontroller accesses the address set as the variable by referring to the first storing part. The microcontroller generates and outputs a message for informing the outside of the error occurrence when the interrupt signal is received. The address set as the variable is changed by a developer. |
