PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a photosensitive polymer resin is provided to prevent heating and curing during a reaction, to easily control alkali dissolution rate, and to obtain cresol novolac polymer resin composition with excellent heat resistance. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a photosensitive polymer resin comprises a step of deriving a main reaction at reflux temperature using a mixed cresol, paraformaldehyde, and acid catalyst; and a step of conducting atmospheric deairation process at 150-170>= and decreasing the temperature of the product to 180-250>= and deaerating in a vacuum condition. The mixed cresol is obtained by controlling the composition ratio of meta/para-cresol by adding metacresol and paracresol.
