<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power supply device that can rationally and stably supply electric power by detecting an abnormal voltage drop across a power supply cell and then restarting power generation when a recovery from the voltage drop is made. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power supply device includes: a power supply pack constituted having a plurality of electric power supply cells made electrically independent; a switch 3 which optionally connects the respective electric power supply cells by selectively connecting terminals of the electric power supply cells to each other through switching elements; a voltage detector 4 which detects potential differences between the terminals of the electric power supply cells; and a controller 5 which controls ON/OFF states of the switching elements by controlling the switch with a control signal such that when the power generation voltage of an electric power supply cell drops to a set voltage or lower, the electric power supply cell is disconnected according to voltage signals indicating the potential differences that the voltage detector detects respectively to stop supplying the electric power, and when the stop time of the disconnected electric power supply cell reaches a predetermined time or longer, the supply of the electric power from the electric power supply cell whose supply of electric power is stopped is restarted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
