<p>The optical microphone disclosed in the present application is provided with a photoacoustic medium unit (2) which has one pair of main surfaces (2a and 2b) and at least one side surface located between the one pair of main surfaces, a restraining unit (3) which comes into tactile contact with at least one side surface in order to suppress change in shape of the photoacoustic medium unit, and a light-emitting unit (101) for emitting light waves which are transmitted through the photoacoustic medium unit in between the one pair of main surfaces. The one pair of main surfaces comes into contact with an environmental fluid through which acoustic waves to be detected propagate, and can be freely vibrated. The acoustic waves are incident upon the interior of the photoacoustic medium unit from at least one of the one pair of main surfaces so that changes in optical path length of the light waves that are transmitted through the photoacoustic medium unit, which are generated by propagation through the photoacoustic medium unit, are detected.</p> |
