METHYLMETHACRYLATE-BUTADIENE-STYRENE IMPACT MODIFIER AND ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY POLYLACTIC ACID RESIN COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene based impact modifier and an environmentally-friendly polylactic acid resin composition including the same are provided to improve brittleness, one of the disadvantages of polylactic acid, by using polyethylene glycol based comonomers in bulk to enlarge the size and increase compatibility with polylactic acid. CONSTITUTION: A methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene based impact modifier includes (A) a conjugated diene rubber polymer core and (B) a shell produced by graft-polymerizing the conjugated diene rubber polymer core, a (meta) acrylic acid ester monomer and polyethylene glycol comonomers. A polylactic acid resin composition includes a methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene based impact modifier 10-30 weight% and polylactic acid 70-90 weight%.
