PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cryogenic refrigerator capable of achieving higher output more efficiently.SOLUTION: A cryogenic refrigerator includes: a first cylinder 2; a first displacer 3 capable of reciprocating movement to the first cylinder 2; a second cylinder 4; and a second displacer 5 capable of reciprocating movement to the second cylinder 4; an air intake/exhaust system 6 (pipes 61-66 and valves V1-V4 ) in which an air intake/exhaust operation for sucking air in either a first cylinder 2 or a second cylinder 4 and exhausting air to the other is alternately conducted; a communication passage 7 connecting the insides of the first cylinder 2 and the second cylinder 4; and an opening/closing means V5 for opening/closing the communication passage 7. |
