<p>The purpose of the invention is to reduce overhead associated with moving a packet between PEs, and to improve overall processing performance. Each of multiple processing units placed in an array comprises: a destination information computation unit that computes destination information for the packet in accordance with extended identification information; an input/output unit that, among packets, acquires only a packet with destination information indicating the processing unit, and transfers a packet with destination information not indicating the processing unit to an adjacent processing unit in a direction toward the processing unit indicated by the destination information; and a computation unit that executes a processing command that processes the packet acquired by the input/output unit. On the basis of a bit string of a first portion that contains at least some identification information of the extended identification information, the destination information computation unit computes a first destination information item that indicates a zone that is one of multiple zones into which all the multiple processing units are divided. On the basis of a bit string of a second portion that contains at least a portion other than the first portion, said destination information computation unit computes a second destination information item that indicates the position of a processing unit in the zone indicated by the first destination information item.</p> |
