PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent characteristic deterioration of a power amplification element due to hot carrier injection deterioration and control transmission power depending on an output signal level.SOLUTION: A wireless communication apparatus detects peak information of an envelope of a high frequency signal extracted from output of a high frequency power amplifier 101 and information on a power supply voltage to be applied to the high frequency power amplifier 101. In order to suppress a HCI deterioration on the basis of a value obtained by adding these information, a control unit 10 controls a power supply voltage adjustment circuit 125 and a current adjustment circuit 126 and automatically adjusts the power supply voltage and an operating current of the high frequency power amplifier 101. Even when output voltage exceeds the power supply voltage, a maximum value of an applied voltage of a transistor is grasped and the HCI deterioration can be suppressed. |
