PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical line sensor which has a structure capable of correcting warping of a cover plate to be small and has a reduced width in a short length direction (y direction), thereby improving the degree of freedom in the disposition of a roller for medium transportation.SOLUTION: In a contact-type optical line sensor comprising a holder 3 for housing parts required for medium recognition and a cover plate 4 obtained by integrally molding a cover glass 4a and a supporting resin section 4b which are brought into direct contact with a medium, the holder 3 and the cover plate 4 are provided with snap fitting engagement structures 6 and 7 at one or more places in nearly the center of the long-length direction (x direction) orthogonal to the medium-transportation direction and screw engagement structures at both ends of the long-length direction (x direction). |
