PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for discrimination between a three-dimensional image signal format and a two-dimensional image signal format, with robustness and a less arithmetic amount.SOLUTION: A region representative value calculation unit 120 converts a high-resolution input image to the representative value of a feature amount of each small region. A correction value calculation unit 130 calculates a correction value on the basis of the mean value of the feature amounts calculated for each region, and a data correction unit 140 corrects the representative value of each region using the correction value. At the same time of calculation of inter-region correlation, an in-plane correlation calculation unit 160 calculates in-plane correlation within a region, and an evaluation value calculation unit 170 calculates a determination value from the ratio between an inter-region correlation value and an in-plane correlation value. |
