The automatic door- or window system (1) has a driving device (6) for automatically driving a leaf (2), while a safety analysis is performed before the use of the door- or window system. The safety analysis is performed by an image capture device (16) by detecting a reference pattern (17). The relevant data for performing of the safety analysis of the reference pattern is determined by a computing unit. The reference pattern with a reference element has a portion of the door- or window system. The image capturing device has an interface (18) for transferring data to the driving device. An independent claim is included for a method for performing a safety analysis of an automatic door- or window system.
