PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generator that reduces a variation in temperature in a length direction, eliminates the need of application of high voltage for increasing a temperature of a film portion to a desired temperature area, and can reduce a time required for returning to the desired temperature area when a toner on a sheet is melted in the desired temperature area and then the temperature is decreased.SOLUTION: A heat generator is installed in a film heating type on-demand image heat fixing unit for heating a film portion where an adherend on which toner is to be fixed and a film are brought into contact with each other, and is a compact formed of continuous same cross-sectional shapes of a carbon fiber-reinforced resin manufactured by a pultrusion method. |
