The method involves recording the driving dynamics variables for determining the current vehicle state. The radiator blind (3) is adjusted in an open position, when a critical vehicle state with a driving stability is detected by evaluating the driving dynamics variables. The driving stability is improved by increasing the front axle propulsion and by decreasing the rear axle propulsion. The effective acceleration and the speed in the vehicle (1) are recorded as driving dynamics variables. An independent claim is included for a device for adjusting a radiator blind in a vehicle.
