PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method for recording an image by stably discharging a water-based ink in a relatively large discharge amount by use of, for example, an industrial inkjet head.SOLUTION: An image is recorded by imparting the following ink onto a recording substrate that is an aggregate of a non-absorbing or low-absorbing fiber material. The ink is a water-based ink comprising polymer particles having a polyurethane structure, a colorant, water, and a compound selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon compound expressed by general formula (1), a silicone compound and a fluorine-based compound. The ink is discharged in a droplet amount of 60 pL or more and 120 pL or less by an inkjet method. In formula (1), Aand Arepresent -(CH-CH-O)-H, where n ranges from 0 to 6 as a total in Aand A. |
