PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electric charges accumulated in a recording sheet from being rapidly discharged, thereby improving image quality.SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 includes a long first fixing member (heating roller 110) and a second fixing member (pressure roller 120). In a fixing nip N1 formed between the first and second fixing members, a developer image is thermally fixed on a recording sheet. The fixing device 100 is arranged near a conveyance path 200 of the recording sheet moving toward the fixing nip N1, on the upstream of the fixing nip N1 in the recording sheet conveyance direction, and includes: a discharge member (metal plate 170) having a body part 171 and an edge (front end edge 165) located at the end of the body part 171; and an insulation member (lower guide member 160) arranged between at least the whole edge of the discharge member and the conveyance path 200. |
