Provided is trimanganese tetraoxide which enables the production of a lithium-manganese-based composite oxide that rarely undergoes the interconnection of particles, i.e., a necking phenomenon, upon being fired. Trimanganese tetraoxide having a pore volume of pores each having a pore diameter of 0.3 to 2 μm of 0.1 mL/g or more. It is preferred that the pore volume of pores each having a pore diameter of 0.5 to 1 μm is 0.03 mL/g or more. |
