The bottle (B) has an upper shell (1) and a lower shell (2) that are adapted to superimpose upon each other partially on both sides of a median plane (P). The shells are adapted to form a pocket containing water, and are equipped with a filling opening (100) whose side is closed by a stopper (6). An injected joint (4) or seal is provided along a set of peripheral sides, the shells, and along a connection zone (120) provided between a part of one shell, and a part (21) of another shell in which the filling opening is placed. A set of gripping openings (29) is formed by the latter part. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a hot water bottle.
